CHILDREN’S LITERATURE PERIODICALS
The emergence of Mabel Segun’s Children Literature Research and Documentation in the country has not truly improved the aesthetic of children literature in the country.
Children Literature in Nigeria is underdeveloped when compare with country like South Africa. Apart from Mabel Segun’s Children Literature Research and Documentation there should be an avenue where children literature writers should be meeting, brainstorming and criticizing themselves. Purposely for the advancement of their profession.
Educative and informative workshops, conferences, symposia and seminars should always be organized to improve children literature writers’ skills and aesthetics.
The above mentioned points are what Children’s Literature Periodicals hope to achieve. Children’s Literature Periodicals promises to be an avenue where children literature writers can get useful information tips, workshops, residencies, competitions and calls for submission. Also the directory of some major children literature magazines will be made available free of charge for download.

IBADAN JOURNAL OF BOOKS
Ibadan Journal of Books is an initiative of Ibadan Book Club towards the promotion of reading culture, education and campaign in Nigeria and Africa as a continent.
It is obtuse to still be saying that if you want to hide something from a black man, you put it in a book, because a black man won’t read it. In these modern days of ours I totally disagree with this quote. If a white man wants to hide something from a black man, he should never try to put it in a book because he (black man) will read it. Gone are the days when black men don’t read. The greatest readers today are blacks. Today we now have black who are Nobel Prize Winners, Grammy Winners and Booker Prize Winners. Winning these awards is due to books they’ve read. Remember that readers are leaders. Always read a book everyday because books build brain.
Ibadan Journal of Books is saddled with the responsibilities of collating, compiling and collecting both old and new books of renowned and great writers of notes with genuine information like published dates, Name(s) of Author(s), Excerpts from their books, Publishers, Place of Publication, Page cover and authors’ notes. The vision of the journal is to provide readers useful information about their favorite books and authors irrespective of their fields and status.
